Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Banner Health Payson. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare for surgical procedures by pulling and organizing instruments and supplies, ensuring good working order and reviewing case carts for accuracy.
  • Anticipate the surgeon's needs, passing instruments and retracting tissue while maintaining aseptic technique and universal precautions.
  • Ensure accurate surgeon preference cards and pick lists, and participate in OR turnover between cases.
  • Assist with stocking, replenishing supplies, and cleaning operating rooms, and participate in training and orientation of surgical technology staff and students.
  • Provide business support to the department, including administrative tasks and following safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Proficiency to scrub on a minimum of two surgical specialties.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on providing excellent patient care.
