Postdoctoral Researcher in Translational Cancer Science

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Scholar to join our team in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Professor Sanaz Memarzadeh, M.D., Ph.D. and will be part of the G.O. Discovery Laboratory, a highly innovative and collaborative translational research group.
Job Summary:The Postdoctoral Scholar will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research in the field of translational cancer science, with a focus on molecular biology, cancer immunology, and genomics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on research projects funded by federal grants and other sources, and will be expected to publish their findings in top-tier scientific journals.
Responsibilities:- Conduct research in the field of translational cancer science, with a focus on molecular biology, cancer immunology, and genomics.
- Design and execute experiments, collect and analyze data, and interpret results.
- Collaborate with the PI and other researchers to develop and implement research projects.
- Mentor trainees and contribute to the development of the laboratory.
- Prepare and submit manuscripts for publication in top-tier scientific journals.
- Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with molecular biology techniques, microscopy, immunohistochemistry, FACS analysis, virology, and immunology.
- Strong background in cancer research and translational science.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
