Emergency Crisis Intervention Specialist

About the Role

This position involves working with individuals experiencing immediate mental health crises, enrolling and initiating services, and overseeing day-to-day processes for related services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete hospital crisis pre-screens
  • Gather and document demographic, fiscal, and clinical information for prospective clients
  • Determine needed clinical services, level of urgency, and appropriate providers; consult with personnel as needed
  • Provide supportive and/or basic crisis intervention
  • Suggest additional or alternative internal and external services when indicated
  • Collaborate with other personnel to coordinate, evaluate, troubleshoot, and improve ongoing services
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have at least a Bachelor's degree with an LSW or a Master's degree in Counseling with a PC or PCC, or LISW with two years' experience in working with crisis services.

The ideal candidate will also be willing to obtain or already have a NPI number and an Ohio Medicaid number.
