We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to perform fund accounting and financial management functions. The successful candidate will prepare reliable and timely financial information, analyze general ledger, balance sheets, and income statement accounts, and maintain account code data within relevant systems.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Prepare financial reports and analysis for customers with varying degrees of financial understanding
  • Analyze financial data and identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement accounting procedures according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB)
  • Monitor and review capital project authority, spending, and reconcile revenues and expenses per projects funding sources

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting or finance environment
  • Practical experience using a financial system like PeopleSoft
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)
