Pricing Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Pricing Director to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing pricing strategies that drive business results.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to align and implement pricing strategies, including pricing tiers and thresholds to optimize total margin.
• Design and report metrics of business, financial, and operational performance with regards to pricing and discounting.
• Analyze market trends, including competitive benchmarking, to understand competitive threats and refine approaches for price capture.
• Understand the value drivers of the business and determine the Empire price premium by market and product category.
• Perform continuous price band analysis to understand how the customer is responding to the product assortment and pricing.
• Collaborate with the Merchandising team on developing and executing liquidation pricing and product transition modeling.
• Lead and manage the pricing team, as well as drive change across the organization to enhance pricing acumen and execution.
• Ensure compliance to Empire financial policies and procedures.
• Provide ad hoc analysis as requested by senior management.

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in a pricing function with proven track record of implementing pricing processes from the ground up and developing and evaluating pricing strategies.
• Experience with analyzing big data via data structuring and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate findings into actionable solutions and processes.
• Basic understanding of statistics.
• Outstanding organizational, analytical, and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others.
• Ability to develop strong relationships at all levels within the Company.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Highly detail oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple projects through the project management process.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
