Urban, Ltd. is seeking an experienced Survey Party Chief to lead our Survey Department in Chantilly, VA.

About the Role:

We are a full-service civil engineering, transportation engineering, land planning, landscape architecture, and surveying firm serving private and public sector clients throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a field survey team performing boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking.
• Lead a team of surveyors in a fast-paced, accountable environment, ensuring high-performance levels and attention to detail.
• Responsible for adjusting and operating surveying instruments, recording survey measurements, and descriptive data.
• Evaluate potential dimensions and other field problems, providing timely and effective communication within the team and with other disciplines.
• Possess a high degree of understanding of the principles and practices of surveying.
• Maintain a current driver's license in good standing.
