Healthcare Security Officer

Required Qualifications:

Licenses:

  • Valid Class C Driver's License
  • Certified N.C. Sworn Police Officer

Educational Background:
High School diploma or GED is mandatory. An Associate degree is preferred.

Certifications:

Company Police Agency:
This is a sworn position in accordance with state laws. Must be eligible to achieve certification as a Company Police Officer within one year of employment. Certification in American Heart Association HS (Heart Saver) is required. BLS Certification from the American Heart Association must be obtained within 90 days of employment. NC Basic Law Enforcement Training Certification is necessary if not a sworn officer upon hiring. CPR/AED certification is required. IAHSS Security Officer Certification is preferred and should be obtained within one year of employment.

Experience:
Recent completion of Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) or possession of a current probationary or general certification is required. A minimum of one year of experience in law enforcement or security roles, particularly in a healthcare setting, is preferred.
