About the Role

The School District of Philadelphia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Evaluation Learning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Educator Effectiveness and Evaluation team, you will play a critical role in supporting the continuous development of teachers, school administrators, and central office employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Facilitate Professional Learning Opportunities: Develop and deliver high-quality professional learning sessions and courses on a variety of topics to support the designated programmatic frameworks.
  • Support Training and Development Initiatives: Collaborate with networks, schools, and departments to develop and implement training programs that strengthen educator effectiveness.
  • Customize Professional Learning Modules: Create tailored professional learning modules for educators to enhance their leadership, cultural competency, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and outcomes-oriented skills.
  • Prepare Reports and Documentation: Develop and maintain reports and documentation on evaluation initiatives to inform decision-making and drive action.
  • Act as a Liaison: Serve as a liaison between schools, learning networks, departments, and the Educator Effectiveness and Evaluation team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide Guidance and Support: Offer ongoing guidance and support to evaluators in implementing the observation and feedback cycle.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Education: Possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in education.
  • Professional Experience: Bring at least five years of full-time, paid, professional experience in education, including leading and designing professional learning for adults.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Administrative certificate for K-12 or Elementary and Secondary Principal.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of Educational Issues: Demonstrate knowledge of current educational issues that impact the implementation of observation and evaluation frameworks, initiatives, and training.
  • Ability to Inform and Design Professional Learning: Show the ability to inform and design the scope and sequence of professional learning for educators.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
