All Team Members contribute to sales through comprehensive product knowledge, innovative merchandising techniques, and precise transaction handling. The Team Member's mission is to create a remarkable in-store atmosphere and deliver exceptional customer service by actively engaging with shoppers.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
HEARTS
Welcomes every JOANN customer and utilizes the F.A.S.T. service model to fulfill their needs. Asks open-ended questions to understand customers' project requirements and guides them to the appropriate product locations. Engages in friendly discussions with customers about their projects while assisting them at the cutting counter, cash register, and sales floor.
HANDS
Handles customer transactions at the cutting counter and cash register efficiently and courteously, demonstrating professionalism and accuracy. Responsible for lifting boxes from the receiving area, arranging items on shelves and racks, and unloading freight according to company protocols. Stocks shelves accurately based on planograms while maintaining high productivity and attention to detail. Ensures cleanliness and organization throughout the sales floor by tidying shelves, processing returns, and promptly addressing spills or messes.
MINDS
Encourages customers to engage in store activities such as educational classes and custom framing services. Actively drives sales through product expertise, suggestive selling, and building strong customer relationships with the JOANN brand. Works to minimize inventory loss by adhering to established policies and procedures, including transaction accuracy and inventory management.
INSPIRE
Supports fellow Team Members in tasks to ensure the team surpasses expectations set by Store Management. Collaborates with Store Management and other Team Members on various projects in a friendly and professional manner. Aids in training new Team Members on register operations, fabric cutting, stocking, and customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Minimum Experience: No prior experience required.
Preferred Experience: 1-3 years in a customer-focused environment.
Part-time positions require availability that aligns with store needs. Part-time Team Members typically work less than an average of 28 hours per week and are not guaranteed a specific number of hours. Open availability means the ability to work any required hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand for the duration of a shift (excluding breaks).

Must be able to communicate verbally with customers and team members consistently.
Must be able to input data on computer systems.
Must be able to push/pull merchandise using appropriate equipment.
Must be able to lift, place, and arrange items on shelves.
Must be able to bend and reach as necessary.
Must be able to climb and descend ladders.
Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds individually and participate in group lifts of up to 97 pounds.
