Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Ludington Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the surgical suite, handling instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Handle instruments and maintain a sterile environment during surgical procedures.
• Assist in positioning patients for surgical procedures and maintain a protective position throughout the case.
• Engage with surgeons to make suggestions regarding instrument sets and streamlining procedures.
• Participate in case costing and suggest ways to eliminate waste on cases.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90 days.
• Surgical Tech Certification preferred.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position working in a fast-paced surgical environment. The successful candidate will be required to work weekdays with occasional on-call weekends.
