Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic X-Ray Technologist to join our team at Resurgens Orthopaedics. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality orthopedic X-Rays, ensuring patient safety and privacy, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform X-Rays ordered by providers, adhering to quality standards and guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate and complete X-Ray images, including patient ID, provider name, and correct markers.
  • Maintain proper use of X-ray equipment, CR, DR, and PACS systems.
  • Communicate effectively with the X-Ray supervisor or director regarding concerns, operational questions, or problems.
  • Establish professional relationships with physicians, co-workers, and clinical staff.
  • Teach X-Ray students about patient care, workflow, and imaging techniques in the clinical setting.
  • Assist clinical staff with PACS, including importing and exporting images.
  • Support clinical staff when not busy in X-Ray.
  • Maintain EMR imaging duties and medical records release forms for CD pickup.
  • Perform daily QC of all X-Rays taken.
  • Order X-ray supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist or registry eligible.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current certification in CPR.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Familiarity with orthopedic X-Rays in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse individuals.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.
Work Environment

This role requires occasional patient transfer assistance and proper body mechanics. The employee must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be required. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The employee may be exposed to risk of infectious diseases when interacting with patients and/or family members. The work environment may involve wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.
