About the Role
This position will be part of our team at UCHealth Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO, providing care as a Registered Nurse. As a member of our Same Day Surgery department, you will work with a collaborative team to deliver high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and excellent communication skills.
Salary Information
The salary for this role is $32.65 - $49.62 per hour, with pay dependent on relevant experience. Our compensation package is designed to recognize employee contributions and includes a Five Year Incentive Bonus, which accumulates annually and is paid out after five years of employment.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities as a Registered Nurse will include:
- Providing direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
- Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition as appropriate. Collaborating as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluating learning needs of patient and/or family and providing patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Effectively delegating patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A graduate degree from an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience.
- A valid state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
- No less than 6 months nursing experience.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
