About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Service Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a Fire Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and maintenance services for our customers' fire alarm systems and other related building system products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to service calls from our Service Resource Center, including diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions.
  • Conduct thorough site assessments to identify and resolve system issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fire alarm systems, including testing and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure their systems are functioning optimally and provide expert advice on system upgrades and maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including fire alarm systems, access control, nurse call, and paging systems.
  • Valid Fire Alarm License.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
