Job Summary:

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Cytogenetics Technologist for a local contract job in Manhattan, New York. As a Cytogenetics Technologist, you will be responsible for performing wet lab work, including karyotyping and FISH analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong karyotyping skills, specifically in oncology, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform karyotyping and FISH analysis
  • Conduct wet lab work, including sample preparation and analysis
  • Develop and implement karyotyping and FISH protocols
  • Collaborate with Clinical Lab Scientists to ensure accurate and timely results
  • Maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements:

  • ASCP certification preferred
  • NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license with a minimum of 2 years of experience
  • 2 or more years of karyotyping experience, specifically in oncology
  • Cytovision experience
  • BS degree
