Responsibilities- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Treatment Planning: Design and implement targeted treatment plans to meet the unique needs of individual students.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with school staff, parents, and other professionals to integrate speech therapy strategies into students' learning environments.
- IEP Participation: Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide expertise and recommendations for student support.
- Documentation and Progress Tracking: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of therapy sessions and track student progress.
- Education: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or a closely related field.
- Licensure: Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Kentucky.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- Experience: Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
- Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
