Responsibilities

The Triage Nurse will be responsible for:
  • Answering all calls and providing accurate information and support to patients and their representatives.
  • Assessing patient situations and making informed decisions regarding next steps, in collaboration with providers and other healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinating the receipt and processing of faxed information, as well as generating and communicating MD orders to staff as needed.
  • Documenting all interactions and interventions in messaging systems or charts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Additionally, the Triage Nurse will contribute to maintaining current knowledge of agency policies and procedures, adhering to compliance guidelines, and participating in quality improvement initiatives as requested.

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess:
  • A valid Tennessee Nursing license.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of medical office triage experience, preferably in a perinatal setting.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with basic Microsoft Office applications.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $65,000-$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus benefits, professional growth opportunities, and a supportive work environment that fosters excellence and teamwork.
