Responsibilities
The Triage Nurse will be responsible for:
- Answering all calls and providing accurate information and support to patients and their representatives.
- Assessing patient situations and making informed decisions regarding next steps, in collaboration with providers and other healthcare professionals.
- Coordinating the receipt and processing of faxed information, as well as generating and communicating MD orders to staff as needed.
- Documenting all interactions and interventions in messaging systems or charts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess:
- A valid Tennessee Nursing license.
- Minimum of three (3) years of medical office triage experience, preferably in a perinatal setting.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with basic Microsoft Office applications.
