About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Wickshire Senior Living Norman. As a valued member of our community, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant will work under the supervision of the Health & Wellness Director, providing warm and engaging personal care services, assistance, support, and companionship to our residents. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, and mobility, as directed by their individual service plans.
  • Monitoring changes in residents' functional status and personal care needs, documenting observations, and advising supervisors and/or clinical staff as necessary.
  • Assisting in the development and updating of Resident Care Plans.
  • Encouraging resident participation in scheduled programs and activities.
  • Conducting one-on-one or small group activities as assigned by supervisor in conjunction with the Vibrant Living Director.
  • Assisting with laundry and light housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Assisting with serving meals and bussing tables as needed.
  • Chaperoning activities outside the community as needed.
  • Monitoring the community and taking appropriate action to keep the environment safe, clean, and attractive for residents, guests, and co-workers.
  • Participating in and attending all in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
  • Ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and Wickshire's mission policies, procedures, and standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of resident care experience preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant Certification required.
  • Maintain state licensing requirements, where applicable.
