Position Overview

The Sanitation Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all tableware and kitchen utensils are impeccably clean and sanitized, adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver clean and sanitized utensils, dishware, and glassware to both guests and staff.
  • Maintain a steady supply of clean dishes as required.
  • Set up and shut down the dishwashing machine at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Wash tableware following established sanitation protocols.
  • Organize clean tableware on designated shelves in accordance with sanitation guidelines.
  • Prepare lined trash receptacles in employee restrooms, cooking prep areas, and the dishwashing area.
  • Ensure the kitchen remains tidy by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste.
  • Diagnose and resolve any issues with the dishwashing equipment.
  • Report any concerns to the Manager on duty and take prompt action when necessary.
  • Work in a warm, humid environment on a regular basis.
  • Be aware of potential hazards such as cuts, burns, and slips/trips.
  • Wear clean company uniforms consistently.
  • Utilize approved slip-resistant footwear while on duty.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or one year of relevant experience preferred.
Essential Skills:
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Must successfully complete dishwasher training and validation.
Work Schedule:
  • Work hours may vary based on departmental needs.
Travel:
  • No local travel is required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods. The role involves lifting and carrying items weighing up to 70 lbs multiple times during a shift.
