Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our Global Legal and Compliance Team as a Senior Legal Counsel - Commercial. This role will support commercial teams in North America, providing legal advice on approved and pipeline products, including biosimilars and health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice to commercial business and operations, supporting approved and pipeline products.
  • Review promotional and educational materials, participating in the promotional review committee, and providing legal advice and solutions to marketing, regulatory, and medical teams.
  • Draft, negotiate, review, and advise on various agreements, including consulting agreements, master service agreements, supply agreements, distribution agreements, advisory agreements, market access-related agreements, wholesaler agreements, discount and rebate agreements.
  • Provide advice on interactions with HCPs (Health Care Professionals) and HCP consulting, HCP speaker programs, and agreements.
  • Provide legal guidance on patient support programs, specialty pharmacy, and HUB pharmacy collaborations.
  • Work with the Global Legal and Compliance Department to implement and improve processes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for the legal and business teams.
  • Provide clear and concise advice to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide innovative ideas in complex areas of law and business.
  • Provide mentorship to colleagues.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school in the United States; member of at least one state bar in good standing.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm and/or in-house with a life science company.
  • Prior experience in counseling pharmaceutical companies on legal issues relating to advertising and promotion, scientific exchange, patient support, and interactions with health care professionals.
  • Knowledge of and experience in advising on statutes, regulations, and guidance documents applicable to commercial operations and medical activities.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including drafting skills, and presentation capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to maintain an independent and objective perspective while developing and maintaining a strong partnership with client organizations.
  • History of self-motivation, working independently on projects, meeting aggressive deadlines, and juggling multiple matters.
  • Experience with drafting and negotiating complex pharmaceutical licensing agreements.
  • Excellent legal analysis skills.
  • Effective, concise communicator.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and act decisively.
