Medical Office Athletic Trainer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team at the UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO. This is a full-time position with an estimated salary of $24.11-$36.17 per hour.
Job DescriptionIn this role, you will provide direct patient care in a medical/physician office setting. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate, plan, implement and coordinate patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
You will monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate, collaborating with other disciplines and serving as a liaison to coordinate patient care. Additionally, you will assist the physician and advanced practice provider in the prescribed plan of care, measuring, applying and adjusting casts, splints, braces and ambulatory assistive devices.
Your expertise will include providing clinical education and expert guidance to patients and families regarding procedures and plan of care. As an Athletic Trainer, you must possess critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
- Certification by The Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (NATA-BOC).
- Licensure with the State of Colorado (DORA) as an Athletic Trainer (LAT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
- At least one year of experience in an orthopedic setting providing direct patient care.
- Experience working in conjunction with orthopedic/sports medicine physicians.
