Dishwasher/Steward

The Steward is a vital member of our hotel team, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitization of all food and beverage outlets, kitchen, dinnerware, and equipment. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Maintain the cleanliness of food and beverage operations, including sweeping, mopping, and washing of counters, shelves, and equipment.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of kitchen and outlet areas, and ensure that all areas are clean and organized.
• Monitor trash and recycling levels, and remove waste as needed.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, and pans, and return them to their proper place.
• Scrub kettles, skillets, and floor drains, and follow all safety and security procedures.
• Maintain a supply of clean china, glassware, and silverware for all hotel outlets.

• Minimum one year of management experience in full-service stewarding operations.
• Three years of experience in hotel food and beverage.
• High school diploma required, bachelor's degree in hospitality preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
• Basic computer skills in MS Office, reservation systems, and point of sales systems.

The hotel business operates 24/7, and all associates must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts. This role requires standing for long periods, frequent bending, and occasional stooping or crawling. The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and push or pull up to 150 pounds is also required.
