Deck Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Deck Officer to join our team at G&H Towing. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for the safe operation and navigation of our vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as an officer in charge on deck for vessel operations
• Directing and performing line-handling operations
• Inspecting and maintaining life-saving equipment, fire-fighting equipment, and safety equipment
• Assisting the Master in maintaining the vessel's deck maintenance and administrative program
• Maintaining, cleaning, and operating navigation, communication, and data processing equipment

Requirements:

• U. S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) endorsed as Mate of Towing Vessels or Mate of vessels greater than 200 gross registered tons
• Completed Towing Officers Assessment Record (TOAR) endorsed for service on inland waters or near coastal waters, or oceans with a valid endorsement as Radar Observer (unlimited)
• Valid TWIC issued by the Transportation Security Administration
