**Job Overview**

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team in Greeneville, TN. As a key member of our academic support staff, you will be working closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to provide essential services.

**Responsibilities**

This role involves assisting with screenings and evaluations as directed by the supervising SLP. You will also identify students needing specialized speech or language services and provide tailored solutions for academic success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with student assessments and creating individualized education plans.
  • Providing direct therapy services addressing treatment goals to meet the needs of students.
  • Collections data and documenting student performance.
  • Conducting individual and group therapy sessions using curriculum-based materials.
  • Creating engaging learning environments and promoting social, physical, and intellectual growth.

**Requirements**

To be considered for this position, you must possess a bachelor's degree in speech communications, speech-language/pathology, or communication disorder/speech sciences. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in any major with 24 semester hours in speech-language-hearing sciences from a regionally accredited college/university is also acceptable.

In addition, you should have a certificate of completion from an approved speech-language pathology assistant program, including a minimum 100-clock hour school-based practicum under the supervision of an ASHA-certified, CDE-licensed school speech-language pathologist.

Clinical experience is preferred but not required.
