Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst II to enhance our product team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the collaborative implementation, testing, validation, and deployment of software application modifications while fostering knowledge sharing within the broader product team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the product team to test and deploy application modifications based on collaboratively defined requirements.
- Engage in work refinement and estimation processes alongside the product team.
- Prepare and execute testing on all new and modified code in accordance with team, product, and organizational standards.
- Coordinate with product and change control teams to ensure quality deliverables that enhance customer value.
- Create and maintain essential documentation as defined by the product team or company (e.g., support processes, team processes, system documentation, and decision logs).
- Ensure timely project and task delivery, effectively communicating any delays or obstacles to the team and leadership.
- Design, execute, and maintain manual tests throughout all stages of application testing.
- Recognize and advocate for testability during the design and development phases.
- Identify test cases suitable for automation.
- Conduct test reviews in accordance with team, product, and organizational standards.
- Spot opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to discussions at the product team level.
- Identify areas prone to defects in product design and ensure adequate test coverage.
- Actively engage in the resolution of test defects, providing detailed descriptions, documentation, and recommendations for resolution.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of urgent production issues.
- Consistently uphold our customer experience standards, including prompt responses, maintaining a positive demeanor, building rapport, demonstrating empathy, managing customer expectations, utilizing appropriate communication channels, and taking ownership to resolve customer issues.
- Adapt to non-core responsibilities as necessary to ensure timely delivery of work to customers (e.g., analysis, testing, deployment, and meeting facilitation).
- Engage in special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and complete assignments effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail and quality assurance.
- Basic understanding of testing metrics, tools for measurement, and the ability to provide execution metrics.
- Ability to present information clearly to the product team.
- Intermediate proficiency with various office and computer software.
- Effective use of required programming languages and version control software.
- Familiarity with essential core systems.
- Ability to interpret automated test results.
- Ability to analyze Jenkins job results.
- Knowledge of multiple testing tools and frameworks.
- A Bachelor's degree, associate degree, bootcamp certificate, or equivalent experience in lieu of formal education.
Preferred Attributes:
- Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with all members of the product team.
- Basic knowledge and application of Agile testing methodologies at the product team level.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience or education in the property-and-casualty insurance sector.
Compensation Overview:
The targeted hiring range for this position is $71,550 - $79,500 annually. However, the offered base pay may vary based on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience, as well as other factors such as the role's scope and location.
