Job Overview

Hyspan Precision Products is seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to oversee manual and robot welding operations, ensuring proper technique and weld integrity for standard metals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop welding processes and techniques for new product launches, conducting R&D in welding and joining process development.
  • Resolve welding problems on current production, improving safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Initiate and implement continuous improvement of welding operations for quality and productivity.
  • Develop weld parameter tracking by application, ensuring control to maintain integrity.
  • Assist production employees in developing welding programs, including processes and techniques.
  • Support and review welding processes and procedures, developing weld process sheets.
  • Work with the manufacturing team on continuous improvement projects.
  • Develop and train hourly robot technicians on all shifts.
  • Adhere to all company policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified welder with manual weld experience (MIG & TIG) in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5 years of robotic welding experience in the automotive sector.
  • 5 years of experience programming and diagnosing Motoman, ABB, and Fanuc weld robots.
  • Experience training and developing robot technicians is preferred.
