Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Coach for our Boys Baseball team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head Coach in leading the team to success.

Champaign Unit 4 Schools is a vibrant district serving over 10,000 students across 18 facilities. Our community offers a unique blend of small-town charm and big-city amenities, with easy access to major cities like Chicago, Indianapolis, and St. Louis.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head Coach in leading the team to success
  • Develop and implement effective coaching strategies
  • Mentor and motivate student-athletes
  • Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff
  • Work collaboratively with the Athletic Director and other coaches

Requirements:

  • Appropriate coaching certification (IHSA or Illinois Professional Educator License)
  • Strong knowledge of baseball and ability to teach skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work nights, holidays, evenings, and weekends

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is around $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a differential position with additional compensation for coaches with 5+ years of experience.
