Campus Security Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Campus Safety Officer to join our team at Coahoma Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing the rules and regulations of the college and the state of Mississippi, maintaining a highly visible patrol, and responding to calls from students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce all rules and regulations of Coahoma Community College.
• Maintain a highly visible patrol to ensure the security of buildings, students, and staff.
• Respond swiftly to any calls received from students, faculty, or staff.
• Make written reports for any problems that may have occurred during a shift.
• Make arrests for any criminal violation committed and notify the Chief prior to making the arrest.
• Maintain an orderly traffic flow, monitor all parking areas, and write tickets for violations.
• Conduct patrols on campus to ensure the security of buildings, students, and staff.
• Attend all training sessions organized for law enforcement, fire department, or general campus safety.
• Testify at all campus hearings or court proceedings as required.
• Report any problems that may cause accidents or injuries to others to the Chief.
