We are seeking a highly skilled Rigger Leader to join our team at the Strategic Systems Programs Office. As a Rigger Leader, you will play a critical role in the Weapons Department, Production Support Division, Missile Support Branch.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Riggers and Crane Operators by relaying instructions, ensuring safety procedures, preventing work delays, and reporting progress to supervisors.
- Load and offload missiles, guidance systems, re-entry bodies, ballast cans, and related systems/components on and off of Trident submarines.
- Maintain qualifications and perform regular rigging duties.
- Provide support in the areas of missiles and missile support equipment handling, facility escort support, minor magazine maintenance, inspection of stored ordnance, and launcher component/equipment processing.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

Military Spouse Preference applicants will be placed at the highest grade for which they have applied and are determined Best Qualified (BQ).

PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ).

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.
