Overview:

The State of Montana is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Supply Chain Coordinator. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective management of supplies and equipment within our organization.

Inventory Oversight:

The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the inventory of supplies and equipment to guarantee their quality, availability, and cost-effectiveness. This includes coordinating inventory checks, inspecting vendor deliveries, verifying invoices, and addressing any issues related to inventory management. A strong understanding of state purchasing regulations and inventory control procedures is essential for success in this role.

Facility and Maintenance Coordination:

This position will also involve coordinating maintenance services and safety inspections to ensure a secure and comfortable environment for all personnel. Responsibilities include reviewing policies, monitoring maintenance schedules, and liaising with relevant teams to resolve any outstanding maintenance issues. Prioritizing tasks based on urgency and safety requirements is a key aspect of this role.

Contract Management and Procurement:

The Supply Chain Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing contracts and procurement processes for services and supplies. This includes developing project specifications, overseeing the bidding process, evaluating proposals, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. The position also involves managing the procurement and distribution of supplies, establishing policies to maintain quality and cost-effectiveness, and contributing to budget planning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in purchasing, inventory management, or facility maintenance coordination. Strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and proficiency in using inventory management software are essential.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires the ability to lift and transport supplies and equipment, with some items weighing up to 50 pounds.
