Key Responsibilities
  • Design Development: Create new product designs by merging a clear design vision with contemporary fashion trends, guided by Product Development Leadership.
  • Market Insight: Leverage extensive knowledge of product sales at both category and item levels to inform and propel new product initiatives.
  • Strategic Planning: Drive planning efforts to meet category objectives, demonstrating agility in response to market dynamics.
  • Buyer Behavior Analysis: Understand Four Hands' buyer behavior to craft tailored concepts and products.
  • Product Launch: Commit to delivering superior products, utilizing external partnerships when advantageous.
  • Vendor Assessment: Evaluate vendor capabilities in technical expertise, material availability, and production capacity to efficiently deliver trend-driven products.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in upholstery product development.
  • At least 4 years of experience with CAD rendering software (Adobe, SketchUp, Rhino, 3DMax, Keyshot, or similar).
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Merchandising, International Business, or related fields is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of furniture construction, proactive costing, product engineering techniques, and in-depth understanding of textiles and leathers.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for up to 2 weeks at a time for factory sample work.
  • Familiarity with international product development and vendor capabilities by region.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements specific to upholstered products.
