Shift Information: 8 Day.
Overview:
- Deliver Rehabilitation Therapy and associated services to patients while fostering positive interactions with healthcare facilities and clients, adhering to the standards and practices of rehabilitation therapy.
- Assess and treat patients utilizing a diverse range of therapeutic techniques aimed at restoring function and addressing developmental challenges.
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of growth and developmental principles applicable to the patient demographic served.
- Manage and ensure a holistic rehabilitation program that caters to the physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and immediate environmental needs of the patient.
- Encourage patient and caregiver autonomy by maximizing the use of external resources to promote independence.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among various disciplines involved in patient care.
- Align efforts with discharge objectives established during the initial assessment and throughout the care process.
- Act as an advocate for patients.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Graduate from an ACOTE accredited occupational therapy program.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Basic skills in Internet navigation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Accreditation: Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and/or the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities is preferred.
