The successful candidates will join a highly successful research group at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC, with a focus on basic, translational, and clinical research in cardiovascular science and medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct innovative and impactful research in cardiovascular science and medicine
- Develop and maintain a high-quality, extramurally-funded research program
- Lead a sub-specialty clinic in their area of specialization
- Contribute to the training and mentoring of graduate and medical students, residents, and fellows
- Earned medical degree (and preferably a Ph.D.)
- Postdoctoral research experience
- Record of significant accomplishment of biomedical research innovation and productivity
- Substantial active extramural research funding, particularly from the NIH or other federal agencies, foundations, and/or industry
