We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Technician to join our team at Northern Arizona Healthcare Corporation. As a Telemetry Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely monitoring of patient cardiac rhythms.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct and document ongoing observations of patient cardiac rhythms, utilizing telemetry monitoring equipment to detect and record normal and abnormal heart rhythm patterns.
- Measure telemetry rhythms every 6 hours and record data, assessing interval measurements and proper and improper pacemaker/implantable defibrillator function.
- Prepare medical record information, print labels and face-sheets, make copies of rhythm sheets, and stock supplies, ensuring all telemetry packs have new/working batteries when utilized by patients.
- Communicate with Registered Nurses regarding admission and discharge of patients, documenting communication and ensuring timely and accurate documentation of rhythm measurements and communication.
- Stay current with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility, maintaining certifications and/or licenses as required.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification
- Previous healthcare/patient care experience and telemetry monitoring experience preferred
