Aviation Technology Associates LLC is seeking an experienced Aircraft Production Painter II to join our team in Savannah, GA.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled painter with a strong background in aircraft painting and preparation. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting major sub-assemblies and other parts of aircraft in production, adhering to specifications and schedule requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and paint aircraft, small parts, and various surfaces according to required specifications.
- Perform layout and masking as necessary.
- Mix paints, primers, etc. according to specifications.
- Paint major assemblies, detail parts, and apparatus related to ground support.
- Strip paint and prepare surfaces as required.
- Perform miscellaneous paint operations and apply decals.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supporting the company's 5S and Lean Initiatives Programs and complying with safety regulations.
Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED.
- Requires knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in painting trade and methods of mixing paint colors.
- Two (2) years painting/paint preparation experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Autobody or aircraft paint experience.
Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will be required to work any shift and meet the physical requirements of the position.
Compensation:
The estimated pay rate for this position is $28.75 per hour.
