Key Responsibilities:General Accounting: Conduct general accounting tasks, including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements.
Transaction Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting transactions while maintaining compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory standards.
Accounting Research: Investigate, document, and communicate complex accounting issues, analyzing the impacts of transactional decisions to formulate recommendations.
Financial Reporting: Provide independent support for the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes, guiding the team to resolve intricate issues and finalize reports.
Compliance Oversight: Execute control activities to ensure adherence to internal control policies and evaluate the compliance process to meet organizational needs.
Consultative Support: Advise leadership on a wide range of accounting decisions and methodologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address management requests.
Budget Development: Create complex budget forecasts and assist in resolving escalated issues, while reviewing budget entries prepared by others and advising management on critical decisions.
Financial Systems Proficiency: Attain proficiency with accounting-specific applications and collaborate with IT and vendors to test updates and resolve issues.
Qualifications:Education: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of five years in a related field is typically expected.
Certifications: CPA certification is preferred for certain roles.
Competencies:Intermediate knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and relevant financial regulations is essential. Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills are also required.
Physical and Cognitive Demands:Ability to work long hours and maintain consistent attendance. Must be capable of handling time-sensitive tasks and collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Compensation:The compensation range for this position is $72,000 to $145,000, with eligibility for a performance-based incentive bonus. Actual total compensation will be based on experience, skills, and education.
