Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Assess and maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Kentucky or a multistate compact status.
- One year of experience in the Operating Room, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
