Healthcare Assistant Coordinator

The Unit Support Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe, well-organized, and clean inpatient unit that meets regulatory standards. This position requires a skilled individual who can interact with families and visitors, communicate effectively with other departments, and maintain accurate documentation of patient status and flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the unit as the front line contact for patients, families, and visitors, responding to inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the Unit leader to ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and infection prevention standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain a well-stocked unit, including ensuring equipment is available and functioning properly, and utilizing support systems and resources to optimize patient care.
- Manage medication storage, handling, beyond use dating, and disposal in accordance with the Medication Storage and Handling Policy.
