Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN to join our esteemed Camden Clark Medical Center. This role focuses on providing exceptional care in the 3N Cardiac Telemetry specialty.

Certification Requirements
  • ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications are mandatory.
Job Responsibilities
  • Ability to interpret cardiac strips and manage various patient types.
  • Registered Nurses are expected to titrate medications, particularly Heparin.
  • Familiarity with commonly administered drips such as Cardizem and Amiodarone, along with occasional Lasix or Bumex.
  • Experience with post-heart catheterization, TR Bands, CHF, COPD, and arrhythmias is essential.
Work Schedule
  • 12-hour shifts with self-scheduling options available.
  • Every Other Weekend (EOW) commitment required for travelers.
  • Potential for call or standby shifts based on census levels.
  • Floating to different units may be necessary within the scope of practice.
Unit Specifics
  • A Charge Nurse is available around the clock, with night shifts including patient assignments.
  • Patient Care Technicians maintain a goal ratio of 1:8, with flexibility up to 1:12-18.
  • Occasional use of High Flow Oxygen, Bipap, and Cpap.
  • Tele/Monitor Technicians are present; RNs must be proficient in reading strips.
  • Dress code consists of Royal Blue scrubs; scrub jackets are optional.
  • Orientation includes one day of computer training followed by one day of floor shadowing.

  • COVID vaccination is required, with exemption forms available upon request.
  • Travelers must provide a valid copy of their driver's license during the application process.
  • The unit operates in a fast-paced environment, managing approximately 8-12 discharges and admissions daily.
  • Our staff is experienced in mentoring new graduates and is committed to teaching.
