As the Head of SEO Strategy, you will spearhead a rapidly expanding SEO division, steering it towards a sustainable and profitable trajectory. Collaborating closely with the VP of Earned and Owned Media, you will oversee the execution of SEO initiatives, ensuring client satisfaction and the quality of deliverables. You will also facilitate inter-departmental strategies to optimize support for Client Services, while partnering with analytics, sales, marketing, and media teams.

Your leadership will be pivotal in managing a diverse portfolio of healthcare clients. You will guide a team of managers and specialists, directing strategic initiatives and delivering essential services such as keyword strategies, audits, optimizations, and integrated marketing solutions. This role combines leadership with hands-on involvement, as we collectively strive to connect patients with the care they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full operational management of the SEO division, including capacity, margins, structure, and process excellence.
  • Mentor team members on SEO best practices and account management strategies.
  • Guide the team in managing client expectations, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with our project management team.
  • Engage directly with clients to design and implement online campaigns and SEO strategies aligned with their objectives.
  • Lead the SEO team in staying informed about industry changes, social trends, and search engine updates.
  • Conduct audits and research to create strategic roadmaps that enable our healthcare clients to enhance their outreach.
  • Generate reports tailored to client specifications on a monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc basis.
  • Advise on website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to boost SEO performance for targeted keywords.
  • Assist in developing and optimizing internal linking strategies to maximize search rankings.
  • Collaborate with clients' technical teams to implement recommended strategies.
  • Exhibit expertise in Local SEO strategies to ensure growth in multi-location channels.
  • Develop and manage SEO-related content for clients, coordinating with copywriters as necessary.
  • Lead discussions on site architecture and inform decisions regarding taxonomy as we expand.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience leading an SEO or integrated media team.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a client-facing agency setting.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector, particularly with multi-location businesses.
  • Proven ability to foster cross-team collaboration and efficiency.
