Job Description

This part-time position serves as a crucial component of our team, working at public water access sites to inspect watercraft for invasive species. The role requires education and communication skills to inform the public about AIS threats and promote responsible boating practices.

The ideal candidate will possess verbal communication and customer relations experience, along with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a professional manner. Additionally, they must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions and occasional lifting and walking or standing may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Educate the public on AIS protocols and current issues through verbal surveys and literature distribution.
  • Inspect watercraft for invasive species, ensuring accurate documentation of inspection activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices while inspecting watercraft.
Requirements
  • Strong verbal communication and customer relations skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Estimated Salary

$18-$22 per hour, depending on experience.

Part-time positions available from May to September, primarily working weekends and holidays. This is an excellent opportunity for students, teachers, and individuals aged 55+ looking for a rewarding summer job.
