Job Summary

Western Rock Products, a CRH Company, is seeking a skilled Crusher Operator to join our team in St. George, UT. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various types of construction equipment, including loaders, backhoes, track hoes, and haul trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging to prevent accidents and damage.
  • Perform minor servicing and maintenance on equipment, or refer major problems to the supervisor for resolution.
  • Keep accurate time and material records to ensure efficient operations and cost control.
  • Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications to ensure accurate loading and transportation.
  • Knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit to ensure safe transportation and minimize damage.
  • Travel from interstate highways to rural dirt roads from various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
  • Previous heavy equipment operation experience or training is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting.
