Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will provide leadership and support to the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and achieving positive clinical outcomes. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Center Nurse Executive to maintain adequate nursing coverage, effectively utilize resources, and promote a culture of safety and excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative: Collaborate with the Center Nurse Executive to maintain adequate nursing coverage, effectively utilize resources, and promote a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide nursing leadership to meet the goals of the Genesis organization and the individual center, ensuring patient care assignments are consistent with staff competencies and the needs of the patients.
  • Education: Identify educational needs of the staff and communicate needs to the Nurse Practice Educator, conduct education in the absence of the NPE, and promote professional development and career opportunities for nursing staff.
  • Quality Improvement: Support the CNE in employing a strong Quality Improvement (QI) process for the nursing department, ensuring that patient care plans are implemented and periodically reviewed and modified as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Complies with and promotes adherence to applicable legal requirements, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provides leadership and support for the Compliance and Ethics Program within the management area.
  • Ensures timely and accurate reporting and responses to compliance-related issues and monitors the implementation of corrective action plans related to such issues.

Working Conditions:

The Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be required to stay and work beyond scheduled shifts if needed to meet state staffing requirements and/or the needs of patients.
