Job Summary:

The Spotsylvania County- VA is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodial Technician I to join our Facilities Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning of floors, walls, and fixtures.
  • Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, mops, and buffers.
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed.
  • Assist with special events and projects as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in labor-intensive maintenance work or related field.
  • Valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The employee must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision. The employee must also be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
