Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Help Desk Technician Intern to join our team at Adams County, Colorado. As an IT Help Desk Technician Intern, you will provide first-level hardware and software support for our computer infrastructure, responding to technical support inquiries via a ticketing system, in-person, via telephone, or email.

Key Responsibilities
  • Filter Help Desk calls and provide basic support and troubleshooting of a variety of issues, including password resets, printer configurations, and break/fix instructions.
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, software, peripheral, and clinical application issues.
  • Gather and analyze information regarding technical issues to determine the best resolution for end users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mobile computing and communications device issues, such as smartphones and tablets.
  • Follow up and communicate ticket information to users when appropriate.
  • Work with project team leads who will assign tasks and provide direction.
  • Record information into ticket tracking software.
  • May resolve more advanced issues where solutions have already been documented.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of computer software, hardware, and related equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • General knowledge of enterprise network applications, such as case management and document management systems, is preferred.
