Job Description

Are you mechanically and electrically inclined? Do you enjoy providing customers with quality service solutions? We're seeking a skilled Service Technician II to join our team. As a Service Technician II, you will work with customers to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial food equipment, including cooking, food preparation, ware washers, weigh wrap, baking, and refrigeration.

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers to electrically and mechanically troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial food equipment.
  • Typically work from home each morning and work with minimal direct supervision at customer sites.
  • Meet or surpass weekly productivity and customer-oriented goals while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Qualifications

  • An accredited High School Diploma or GED and 2-4 years of similar electrical/mechanical experience.
  • A valid Driver's License and ability to drive multiple hours daily.
  • Ability to work overtime and on-call as required.
  • Ability to attend our industry-leading training at our corporate headquarters in Troy, OH.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may:

  • Lift up to 75 lbs with or without assistance.
  • Climb up to 10 ft with an A-frame ladder.
  • Occasional roof access may be necessary through extension ladders or fixed ladders greater than 20 feet.
  • Extensive walking 3-5 miles/day.
  • Extensive driving 5-6 hours/day.
  • Kneel, squat, bend, push/pull.
  • Move in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
  • Operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
  • Operate machinery and/or power tools.

Working Conditions

  • Office facility and customer facilities (including commercial kitchens of various types of businesses).
  • Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet, dirty conditions may occur.
  • Travel requirement up to 50% of time.

Hours of Work

  • Normal business hours with occasional/frequent/extended hours as needed.
  • Flexibility with schedule to meet critical deadlines.
  • Extended hours may include nights and/or weekends.
  • Normal scheduled hours cover early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends.
