Procurement Specialist for Complex US Government Programs

Job Summary:

Vertex Aerospace LLC, a V2X company, is seeking a Senior Procurement Analyst to join their global supply chain team. This 100% remote position will report to the Supply Chain Acquisition manager of the IT&Cyber Solution portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop proposals for long-term agreements and create Basic Order Agreements (BOAs) in accordance with Compliance.
  • Negotiate part and component costs with suppliers, ensuring compliance with Public Law (FAR/DFAR/AMS), company business policies, and import/export regulations (ITAR/EAR).
  • Work with Integrated Product Teams to ensure on-time delivery of compliant products at or below program budget.
  • Manage multiple subcontracts and priorities, utilizing sound judgment to problem-solve.
  • Develop strong business relationships with internal customers and external suppliers.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of related experience in procurement for complex US Government programs, including experience in the Defense Industry.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Acquisition Management System (AMS).
  • Experience with preparing RFQs/RFPs, reviewing and negotiating terms and conditions, and making best value source selection decisions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.
  • Some travel required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with SAP software to report and place purchase orders and plans.
  • Working knowledge of V2X Supply Chain policies and procedures, or equivalent.
  • Experience in establishing strategic relationships with key suppliers who provide materials and services to the US Navy, Air Force, or government customers.
