Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostician to join our team at Soliant. This role requires minimum 1+ years of experience in educational diagnostician work.

Salary: $40+/hr; depending on experience.

Job Description

The Diagnostician will conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic skills, and social-emotional development.

  • Administer and interpret various standardized assessments, adhering to assessment protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and the multidisciplinary team to identify students' educational strengths and areas of concern.
  • Analyze assessment data and provide detailed reports, including recommendations for interventions, accommodations, and individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing expertise and guidance in developing goals and objectives for students.
  • Offer consultation and support to teachers and parents on implementing effective instructional strategies and interventions based on assessment findings.
  • Stay updated on current research, best practices, and legal requirements related to educational assessment and special education.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and resources to ensure students receive necessary support and services.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, reports, and communication related to student evaluations.
Requirements
  • Certification or licensure as a School Diagnostician.
  • Experience conducting educational assessments and interpreting assessment data.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment measures, techniques, and best practices in educational diagnosis.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations related to special education and student evaluation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ethical conduct and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
