About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Bridge Maintenance Specialist. As a member of our crew, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to bridge maintenance, including inspecting and repairing bridges, operating heavy equipment, and performing manual labor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and repair bridges to ensure they are safe and functional
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as dump trucks and backhoes, to perform maintenance tasks
  • Perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy objects, to complete maintenance tasks
  • Work at heights, over and in water, in heavy traffic, and under adverse conditions
  • Perform mathematical calculations to measure and lay out constructed elements on bridges and culverts

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of highway and bridge maintenance methods, equipment, materials, and safety practices
  • Experience in carpentry, concrete forming and finishing, and welding
  • Able to perform heavy manual labor, including frequently lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Skill using and maintaining light to medium-duty equipment, hand and power tools
  • Able to work at heights, over and in water, in heavy traffic, and under adverse conditions
  • Able to perform mathematical calculations to measure and lay out constructed elements on bridges and culverts
