We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Saleeby Center, a residential facility of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring their health and well-being in a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Manage medications and procedures according to pharmacy and nursing procedure guidelines.
- Document and participate in rehabilitation programs, ensuring the health and well-being of individuals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate nursing care plans into Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
- Perform clinical skills in a competent manner, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Provide training and act as a resource for nursing staff.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina.
- Knowledge of the techniques and practices of the nursing profession.
- Ability to adhere to standing orders, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Ability to establish and maintain the confidence and cooperation of individuals.
- Ability to interact with individuals in a culturally competent and professional manner.
The South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs offers an exceptional benefits package, including health, dental, vision, long-term disability, and life insurance, as well as state retirement plan and deferred compensation programs.
This position is eligible for up to $6.25/hour shift differential for applicable shifts and a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
We offer a competitive salary range of $77,500 to $85,543, based on verified work-related nursing experience.
