Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support our clinical staff in providing high-quality patient care. As a Medical Assistant, you will perform a variety of front and back office clerical duties, including collecting patient data, obtaining medical history, preparing instruments for sterilization, and maintaining a sanitary work area.

You will also be responsible for coordinating and scheduling appointments, verifying medical coverage, and performing basic cashiering duties. Additionally, you may assist with routine non-invasive treatment procedures, such as saturation, administration, and urine dipsticks, and perform invasive procedures like phlebotomy, ear irrigation, catheterization, and EKGs.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect and record patient data, including vital signs and medical history
  • Prepare instruments for sterilization and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments and verify medical coverage
  • Perform basic cashiering duties and collect monies for various activities
  • Assist with routine non-invasive treatment procedures, such as saturation, administration, and urine dipsticks
  • Perform invasive procedures, such as phlebotomy, ear irrigation, catheterization, and EKGs
  • Enter data into computer systems and forms, verify accuracy, and make corrections as needed
Requirements:
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers certification within 30 days
  • CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA certification
  • 2 years of experience in a medical setting, or completion of an accredited MA program
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
Working Conditions:
  • May require travel to various work sites
  • Limited access to medication rooms; medication administration policy applies
  • May be required to rotate work shifts
